Meet Ciara Tarabochie, David Alan’s Client Services Specialist: “Delighting guests is my love language.”

DA: Where are you from and where do you live now?
CT: I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and have been living in various neighborhoods across midtown and LIC for the past 4 years.
1.De dónde eres y dónde vives actualmente?
Nacida y criada en Puerto Rico hasta el 2019. He vivido en varios vecindarios de Midtown y LIC durante los últimos 4 años.
DA. What was the first piece of jewelry that you ever received or bought?
CA: The first piece of jewelry I received was a delicate 18k yellow gold lariat pendant with a lapis lazuli tip near the decolletage, gifted to me by my mom's mentor. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture, but it's one of my most cherished memories.
2.¿Cuál fue la primera pieza de joyería que recibiste o compraste? (¿Tienes una foto de esto?) La primera pieza de joyería que recibí fue un delicado colgante de oro amarillo de 18 quilates con una punta de lapislázuli cerca del escote, regalo del mentor de mi madre. Desafortunadamente, no tengo una foto, pero es uno de mis recuerdos más queridos.
DA: Why do you love client services so much?
CT: I love client services because it's deeply rooted in my DNA. Generations of matriarchs in my family dedicated their lives to the hospitality industry, and delighting guests is my love language. Witnessing the pure and raw emotions as clients receive their timeless pieces is like watching a movie right in front of my eyes, and it's worth the wait every time.
3. ¿Por qué te gusta tanto el servicio al cliente? Me encanta el servicio al cliente porque está arraigado en mi ADN. Generaciones de matriarcas en mi familia dedicaron sus vidas a la industria de la hospitalidad, y deleitar a los clientes es mi lenguaje de amor. Presenciar las emociones puras y sinceras cuando los clientes reciben sus piezas atemporales es como ver una película justo frente a mis ojos, y vale la pena la espera cada vez.
DA: What is the best part of your job?
CT: The best part of my job so far has been navigating through all the learning curves. It's refreshing to realize there's always more to unlearn and relearn. Working with our small but mighty team is inspiring, and I feel lucky to pick their brains every day.
4.¿Cuál es la mejor parte de tu trabajo (hasta ahora)? La mejor parte de mi trabajo hasta ahora ha sido navegar por todas las curvas de aprendizaje. Es refrescante darse cuenta de que siempre hay más por desaprender y reaprender. Trabajar con nuestro pequeño pero poderoso equipo es inspirador, y me siento afortunada de poder aprender de ellos todos los días.
DA: What is your favorite piece of David Alan jewelry
CT: My favorite pieces of David Alan jewelry are the GRACE band and MOOD ring. The craftsmanship and the process behind creating them can bring me to tears – not to be dramatic!

DA: Besides jewelry, what inspires you the most?
CT: Besides jewelry, entrepreneurship and women in leadership inspire me the most, especially the ones we get to call clients.
6.Además de la joyería, ¿qué te inspira más? Además de la joyería, el emprendimiento y las mujeres en puestos de liderazgo me inspiran, especialmente nuestras clientas.
DA: Do you have any dreams/resolutions for 2024?
CT: For 2024, becoming David's apprentice is at the top of my list. I also want a bespoke DA piece for myself, perhaps a signet ring with a lozenge diamond!
